Newsletter 10 - 12 July 2011
Hi Guys,
This past weekend was probably one of the most exciting weekends that the SA Men team have had, why? Because we went racing! We unfortunately could not make the Silverstone Grand Prix so we decided to go to Oudtshoorn instead for the National Stock Car racing, and on Saturday the other SA Men team members went to Killarney for the regional short circuit racing. Nothing beats a weekend of burning tyres, crashing into opponents and the sound of thundering V8 engines giving it horns. The best thing of all is that this is not exclusive to us guys, the kids loved it, wives and girlfriends were all kitted out, and parents could not help but support their offspring.
The SuperRugby is now something of the past so I guess it’s time for some CocaCola Craven Week (in Kimberly), ABSA Curry Cup Rugby along with some Tri-Nations. I must say that it seems a bit hectic to have so many injuries, the Aussies are already crying foul about this. Do you think Pieter de Villiers is holding back on the Tri-Nations for the RWC?
The Tour de France had its first doping incident but don’t let that distract from a very interesting tour. One can’t say who will wear the yellow jersey, as two breakaways have outwitted the main bunch to take the victory of the day.
Our man of the week is Conrad Stoltz, this veteran of triathlon racing in SA has no end in sight, he took a win at the DueSouth Knysna Xterra(off road tri-athlon) race last week, and to be honest, this is truly a SA Champion who proves that age has nothing to do with your ability to achieve, well done Conrad, we at SA Men look up to you!

Showing skin
How much skin women choose to show is determined by a matter of taste and preference of both the individual and the observer. Through the ages women have been dressing according to the norms of society, which has undergone some drastic changes since the beginning of last century.

Big Birds and Fast Cars
This past weekend I joined SA Men’s Dries Badenhorst and some friends as we headed to Oudtshoorn for the Richard Griessen Klein-Karoo Stock Car championships (KKK). We weren’t there for the racing only but saw this as the ideal opportunity to have a much deserved break from our daily routines in Cape Town. Yes guys, the much anticipated “mancation” was on hands

Car modification becomes a growing rage in SA
Modifying cars is among the fastest growing hobbies in SA with car lovers spending anything in the region of R200 to R2-million per single upgrade according to local car modification experts.
Aided by popular TV shows, like West Coast Customs, Pimp my Ride and Overhaulin, the local car customising industry continues to grow, despite a drop in spending following the economic downturn.

Interview with Craven Week’s rising superstar, Cecil Afrika
Cecil Afrika is certainly one of the brightest stars to emerge on the world rugby scene in recent years. This Port Elizabeth native set the HSBC Sevens World Series alight this year with his fast pace and natural eye for a gap.
