So… who will be FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World 2011

Tanit Phoenix, Sashi Naidoo, Charne Jade Slee, Natasha Barnard, Jennifer Pietersen, Genevieve Morton are all in the running to be crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World 2011.

Voting polls for the FHM Sexiest Women in the World 2011 have closed and leading men’s magazine FHM revealed that possible winners for this year’s iconic title include Hollywood actress and SA model Tanit Phoenix, FHM Calendar 2010 cover girl Natasha Barnard, the FHM Models 2010 winner and Idols pop star Jacques Terre’Blanche’s fiancé Charné Jade Slee, actress, FHM cover model and entrepreneur Sashi Naidoo, FHM Calendar 2011 cover model and star of FHM Lingerie Jennifer Pietersen, and SA model turned international supermodel Genevieve Morton.

The 2011 winner will join previous title holders such as Roxy Louw, Lee-Ann Liebenberg, Lyndall Jarvis, Tanya van Graan, Minki van der Westhuizen and the McGregor sisters (Tracy and Kerry) as the ultimate sex goddess in South Africa.

What a career boost!

Undoubtedly boosting the career of the worthy winner in an unparalleled way, the competition has escalated previous winners to household names who enjoyed tremendous success after being crowned with the title.

Hagen Engler, FHM editor, says: “Our 2010 FHM Sexiest Woman in the World, Roxy Louw, is a classic example of what winning this title can mean for someone’s career. Soon after her big win last year, Roxy was cast in not one, but two movies, apart from also featuring in several new FHM advertisements. The same can be said for other FHM favourites and previous winners like Lee-Ann Liebenberg, Minki van der Westhuizen and the McGregor sisters – thanks to winning the title, everyone now knows who they are and their careers have skyrocketed.

“After her win in 2009, Lyndall Jarvis went on to a wonderful career as a TV presenter on Top Billing. Tanya van Graan is a very successful actress and also launched her singing career. So it’s obvious that by winning the title, fame and fortune await the 2011 winner.”

They have to work for the title, but hey… It’s worth it!

Engler says that it takes a girl with looks, attitude and ambition to walk away with the celebrated title. “These days, the winning girls also need to want the title enough to rally support in the industry and online. Many have their own websites and Facebook groups encouraging fans to vote for them.”

Previous winners of title include Casey B Dolan (2000), Candice Hillebrand (2001), Kerry McGregor (2002), Megan McKenzie (2003), Minki van der Westhuizen (2004), Lee-Ann Liebenberg (2005), Carla la Reservee (2006), Tanya van Graan (2007), Tracy McGregor (2008) and Lyndall Jarvis (2009), apart from Roxy Louw last year.

The winner of the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011 will be announced with the July issue of the magazine – on sale from 15 June 2011. Full results will be available as a special supplement free with the magazine’s new bumper July issue.

Engler says that readers can look forward to the definitive record of the 100 women deemed the sexiest in the world by the men of South Africa. “We collate the online votes from the magazine's readers, then scour the planet for the sexiest photos of their chosen women, and present it all in a glossy supplement that does these marvellous women perfect justice.”
